Yes, you have that massage coming up in a couple of hours and are feeling the need to eat something.
Sometimes you are feeling a little peckish and sometimes you feel like having a feeding frenzy like the hippos in that board game. Do you eat or try to wait it out?
Hopefully you have been properly hydrating yourself up to this point and don't start guzzling water. Who wants water sloshing around in their belly during a massage? Who wants to get off the table mid-massage for a bathroom break? Nobody.
So, go ahead and eat...lightly of course. Trying to digest a huge meal while your therapist is working to release tension probably is not a wise decision. Eat a small snack maybe 1 to 2 hours before your appointment. Personally I like to eat one-half of a turkey sandwich. However, use your best judgment and avoid foods, like beans, that may cause problems such as gas, bloating, heartburn, cramps, etc.
Okay, you are almost all set. Remember to use the bathroom before your appointment.
No, you can't hold it.
Now enjoy your massage!
